In terms of modeling, the 2021 Tang Fuel BYD Tang still continues BYD’s family-style Dragon Face design language, but it has spent a lot of time on the details. For example, the air intakes on both sides incorporate bright black decorative strips, showing an "F" shape, and with the silver decorative strips under the bumper, it adds a sense of layering to the front face. Only the details such as grille, rim and trim are fine-tuned. After more than two years’ baptism, the design language of Dragon Face is still attractive, and the front face full of tension gives people a firm and courageous impression, which lifts the gas field of the whole vehicle to a new height.

On the side of the car body, the new car adopts blackened C-pillar with double waistline design, which presents a more stereoscopic and sporty visual effect as a whole. The body dimensions are 4870, 1940 and 1720mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2820 mm. On the tail side, the decorations on both sides echo the front face, which also makes the tail look more dynamic. When the tail penetrating taillight is lit at night, the visual effect is more prominent.

Compared with the fuel version, the shape of the 2021 Tang DM has changed a lot, in which the shape of the air intake grille is fuller and the size is slightly expanded, but the most obvious change is the change in materials. The original bright chrome plating was replaced by the current matte chrome plating, and black decorative plates painted by piano were used on both sides.

As for the tail, the tail of the 2021 Tang DM changes more to echo the head, adding silver matte decorative strips at the bottom and black piano paint decorative boards on both sides, which makes the tail more attractive. In addition, the font style of the footer has also been modified to be more harmonious with the overall style.

Entering the car, the sense of luxury in the interior of the new car has been greatly strengthened, adhering to the design style of BYD’s new generation dynasty series. Among them, the whole interior adopts a horizontal through-embracing layout, and the lines absorb ancient traditional culture and have distinct layers. In terms of details, the interior of the new car adopts black and brown color matching, paying attention to the improvement of luxury. The steering wheel adopts two-color and two-spoke shape. The new car is equipped with a 15.6-inch rotatable screen, built-in DiLink 3.0 intelligent network connection system, and the brand-new UI design is also eye-catching. In addition, the car also added suede fabrics to the dashboard of the driver’s seat and the sides of the door panel, which improved the sense of grade.

In the power system, the 2021 Tang Fuel Edition is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 141kW (192hp) and a peak torque of 320Nm. In the transmission part, the fuel version is matched with the 6-speed automatic integrated gearbox.

The DM model is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 2.0T engine and dual motors. Moreover, the power output of the engine will remain unchanged, still 437 horsepower and 586 horsepower, and the peak torque is 650 Nm and 900 Nm. It has two operating modes, hybrid (HEV) and pure electric (EV), and is equipped with a full-time electric four-wheel drive system. Through the optimization of motor output and program, the officially announced acceleration time of 0-100km/h is increased to 4.3s. EV models continue to use a driving motor with a maximum power of 180kW(245 HP) and a peak torque of 330Nm, equipped with a ternary lithium battery with a capacity of 82.8kWh, and the NEDC cruising range is 565km. In the transmission system, the DM model matches the 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox. EV models match BYD’s latest blade battery.
